PEEPS light toy
You remember Peeps: those fun Easter marshmallow candies that have a tendency of being popped in microwaves, well somebody thought they'd make a fun children's toy. Now these little deformed chicks seem like an odd choice for toys, much less ones in roughly the same shape and size as the candy itself. Perhaps the idea is that the kids are likely to jam the toys in their mouths anyway, why not make the next step and actually make them look like they're edible.
The craziest thing about this little oddity is its ability to light up when emerged in water. Am I the only one who sees a problem with a toy that seems to encourage children to bring electric devices with them into bathtubs and other large bodies of water? |

Knight Light
At some point in their lives, just about every child had a night light, and it makes sense that a lot of creative designs would emerge as a result, but I thought the idea behind the night light was to make the kid feel safe, not scare the ever living crap out of them!
The concept behind Knight Light is seemingly sound, model it after a guardian knight who will guard the child while they sleep from darkness and what not. The problem emerges when the figure looks like a demon with evil in its soul. This in itself isn't too weird, I mean kids love creepy things, but making the night light give off a dark red light?! It baths the child's room in a light that is not only hard to see in but looks like it emanates from Hell itself? Nothing like sleeping in the world's creepiest submarine. |
