Early design for Zantar's Cyborgs - 2008

One of the early concept sketches for the look of the attack robots in The Bad Influence Man Show story Tax Dodge. While I usually get the look of the characters in BIM down within a sketch or two, these guys went through several designs before I was happy.

This version's head is modeled off of a wire bridge. An Earlier version of these guys even went further with the electrician grab bag aesthetic by using those forked connector bits for hands, they looked great until I tried to draw them holding the rifles. It just didn't look the way I wanted, so I switched their hands instead to the bare wire look (which you see here and was used in the final). Ultimately I went with a spaghetti terminator look, but still kept a few of the flourishes from this model.
