Power Girl – Dec, Week 1, 09

When I went into this one, I kept on telling myself “I'm not going to do a boob joke,” well here's what happened. I first thought I'd have Power girl doing the standard fists on hips, superman power pose, but right as I was about to draw it out I remembered that a very similar image had been done recently as a variant cover for a recent Powergirl comic. Next I kicked around doing a parody cover of the Action Comics cover with Superman smashing the car, but I couldn't come up with a funny enough twist. Then I remembered the Amazing Fantasy #15 cover and the joke wrote itself. Again in this image you can see I ran out of time before I could finish the background buildings. I wish I would have been able to get the fist and Power Girl's face right, but I guess it still works.
