Angela from Spawn – Sept, Week 4, 09

This was the first week I did the challenge, and it sort of shows. I had a hell of a time just getting the pose even near right. We were originally told we were going to draw spawn, but certain artists complained and it was changed to Angela, which frustrated the hell out of me because I had actually came up with an idea for a spawn image I was pretty happy with, and had spent about and hour or so trying to find a good picture of a skull for reference in drawing it. The inspiration for this piece was partially from this painting of John the Baptist's head I saw as a kid that terrified me to no end, as well as a painting of a girl sleeping in a weird shell thing. .
